As a Sr. Purchasing Agent, youll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You\'ll be responsible for qualifying our vendors, monitoring our vendor quality, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our vendor information. Buyer will learn how to do all orders by SNC procedures and applicable laws. Additionally, you\'ll work on complex procurements of significant dollar value, as well as manage multiple service type contracts.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

This role is open to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Solicit Request for Proposals (RFPs) to Suppliers
  • Evaluate Proposals
  • Understand elements of a Cost Analysis
  • Negotiate various elements of the proposal
  • Write detailed Procurement Summaries
  • Fully document Purchase Order Files
  • Work closely with programs and other functional areas

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
    • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
    • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Procurement experience

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
  • Strong understand all aspects of financial and accounting related to procurement
  • Complete understanding of the full cycle of procurement processes

Estimated Starting Salary Range: \$104,827.91 - \$144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
