To deliver this vision, we are looking for an energetic and expertise Site Reliability Engineer accountable for environments and infrastructure by partnering with various scrum teams Offshore and Onsite focusing on engineering.


We are Host (https://host.cbre.com/) - product engineering team at CBRE consisting of highly skilled SRE engineers. Our prime responsibility is to bring reliability to Azure based Host's production infrastructure by automating infrastructure provisioning, cloud security, monitoring, and quickest troubleshooting. We use a lot of open-source tools and languages to accomplish our tasks like Java, Python, Terraform, ELK etc. and maintain our own codebase for infrastructure provisioning and other automation. We use Git repos and CI/CD deployment constructs. Because of the nature of data, we need engineers that understand data security, ownership, classification, access management and should have previously worked with protected, personally identifiable information, as well as material non-public information.


· You will be part of Host Cloud platform engineering group. You will be acting as subject-matter expert on systems being created and managed internally. Your job is to develop, implement solutions and ensure they are resilience and reliable, working at a scale. You will be responsible for leading effort in building a solution to solve challenges at CBRE.

· Identify and propose automation opportunities to gain efficiency and scalability

· Develop systems to prevent outages through automatic scanning and remediation

· Interact and communicate as much real time as possible with globally distributed teams

· Partner with Development teams and Managed services teams resolving issues real time for non-prod environments

· Proactively monitor availability and performance of the Host using key tools effectively and quickly respond to Monitoring alerts, incident tickets, and email requests coming into Site Reliability

· Document resolution run books and standard operating procedures

· Monitor and stabilize services in non-prod and production, Keep up environments 99.99% up from infrastructure standpoint

· Set and maintain acceptable performance and availability thresholds (service level objectives)

· Write code that automates repetitive tasks (toil), and works on-call shifts responding to alerts


Responsiblefor the site's equipment maintenance and instrument calibration processes. Provides technical and organizational support and leadership to drive equipment reliability and performance improvement increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBUF), as well as implement systems and best practices to ensure proactive measures are being taken for continuous improvement. Facilitates a vibration, ultrasonic, and thermography program for facility operational equipment and utility systems.


Defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset's maintenance plan that includes: value added preventative maintenance tasks, effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.

Provides technical support to the site engineering teams for mechanical equipment and mechanical fixed assets (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, Condition Based Monitoring, Risk Based Inspection).

Works with engineering and operations teams to perform analyses of assets including: overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life, other parameters that define operation condition, reliability and costs of assets.

Develops risk management plans that will anticipate reliability related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.

Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign and make/buy decisions.

Performs other duties as assigned.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2+ years related industry experience.

Experience with instrumentation & control, computerized maintenance management systems required. Programming with emphasis of object oriented and relational databases.


· 4+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with Reliability engineering with distributed applications mostly Micro Services and Databases, Azure Infrastructure e.g.: Gateway/Cosmos

· Working experience with global teams

· Mandatory experience with Azure cloud

· Advantage: Kubernetes, IoT hub, Terraform

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.


Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use, setup and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel.
