As a Strategic, Buyerin our organization, you willbe responsible for leading theprocurementstrategies for Direct Materials suppliers,develop suppliers, execute savings projects, assurean adequate supplier assignationto each purchased item and support expediting processes with suppliers to assure that direct material is supplied in a proper time and that it will meet the delivery dates to minimize the risk of an inventory stock-out or revenue impact.
The Strategic Buyer will work out of the Wichita, KS or Norman, OK plant.
\ How you will do it
Manages assigned suppliers / commodities to ensure ongoing supply and appropriate pricing.
Ensure the cost, quality and time-oriented supply of all requiredgoods,materialsunder compliance with the respective business plans,budgetsand targets.
Ensure compliancetoGlobal Procurement Policies.
Improve working capital throughoptimumpayment terms.
Ensure costs are competitive with markets.
Monitor vendor performanceand support materials departmentto assure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor development.
Assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolvedin a timely mannerper standard procedures to avoid material shortages
Lead and coordinate savings projects.
Lead and coordinate procurement assignments on NPI Projects.
Set up new suppliersand manage theexisting ones in Vendor Master.
Manage the Suppliers within the given programs (Request for Quotes RFQ, change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, dispute resolutions etc.)
Define andnegotiatewarrantyterms and process with suppliers.
Review annual supplier performance.
Support to implement strategies and actions to reduce suppliers, in line with agreed targets.
Support implementation of Global Commodity strategies.
Implement strategies and actions to achieve FY (Fiscal Year) cost reduction goals, including PO-to-PO (Purchasing Order) reductions and rebates.
Supportaccurateandtimelyreporting of keymeasurable.
Support VA/VE projects.
Present new projects or sourcing strategies in the Sourcing Board.
Implementation and continuous improvement of standardization activities.
Support and implement diversity strategies.
