Aerotek Structural Assembly Mechanic 32-52 Per Hour in WICHITA, Kansas


Candidates Must be Capable of Passing a Plate Test and flexible to work any shift Structure Technicians will be working primarily on the Fuselage Section of the Boeing 737 aircraft, but could be moving around to different sections to resolve/fix issues/rework so existing Spirit Employees can focus on their own assembly work. Environment is busy requiring flexibility in as well as ability to work independently providing support wherever needed.

Candidates will assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures. Functional test and correct, fit form and function of assemblies and components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Candidates Must be Capable of Passing a Plate Test and flexible to work any shift Part 1 : Written Test Part 2: Perform a countersink depth test Part 3: In 1 hour, must complete the following: Drill 3 Countersinks and install 1 rivet, 1 hi-lok and 1 fastener. 2- 5+ years of Structural Assembly/Sheet Metal Experience/Composite Repair Experience Ideal candidates have the following types of experience on their resume: Sealer/Sealing - Seal parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies fillet and fay, apply leveling compound or scotch cast etc. Sub-Assembly - Assemble parts to make sub assemblies using templates, jigs, and fixtures Assembly / Installation Structures - Assemble structural parts, assemblies, and skins to make larger assemblies Assembly / Installation Doors - Pre- assemble, trim, fit , rig , seal, align, and adjust aircraft door systems
