Cargill Sustainability Marketing Manager in Wichita, Kansas

Job Purpose and Impact

The Sustainability Marketing Manager will provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to influence business strategies, launch and position sustainable product and service offerings. In this role, you will drive Cargill Protein North America’s strategic marketing vision and integrated strategy, coordinating market plans and launching programs to create demand and maximize sales of sustainability solutions that support customers’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic marketing thought leadership using insights to identify issues and opportunities to develop and implement strategic sustainability marketing plans, and define resource allocation across product or service categories, and customer segments.

  • Partner with business, corporate communications, and agencies to plan, create and produce communication and promotion materials to implement marketing strategies, support strategic customer accounts and achieve sales objectives.

  • Provide expert guidance on the planning and creation of marketing, and sales enablement materials to implement overall marketing strategies and sales objectives and train the multi-channel sales force and drive awareness with target customers and prospects.

  • Create marketing calendars structured around financial priorities and key results, with objectives layered over quarter, year and multi year horizons.

  • Apply advanced knowledge of customer priorities to contribute identifying areas where additional customer profitability and brand growth can be achieved.

  • Collaborate with the commercial team, sustainability team and cross channel partners ato execute robust customer and competitive analysis for individual or groups of customers using marketing tools to inform strategy and tactical execution.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years in marketing of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree

  • Business-to-business (B2B) customer experience

  • Familiarity with sustainability principles and concepts

  • Knowledge of protein sourcing and production

  • Food or consumer products marketing experience

  • Experience commercializing sustainability products or solutions

  • Experience contributing in value proposition development
