J OB SUMMARY
TheTalent Acquisition Coordinatorplays a crucial role in managing the full recruitment life-cycle for POET. Team members in this role have a solid understanding of recruiting needs while assisting in attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent in the industry. This role engages with Talent Acquisition Partners on key talent acquisition processes and programs and assists in managing the candidate experience by attracting and engaging talent through pre-boarding. The ideal individual for this role will have a high drive and sense of urgency, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
DURING A TYPICAL DAY
Post jobs to external recruiting sites as needed. Evaluate impact and provide analytics to the Talent Acquisition Team.
Advise on cost-effective alternatives to traditional job boards.
Coordinate interviews and contact applicants as needed.
Prepare, track, and maintain job offer letters.
Oversee the pre-employment process. Coordinate pre-employment details with candidates and POET’s pre-employment vendor. Provide ongoing updates and communication to the Talent Acquisition Partners, and coordinate the Adverse Action Process as needed.
Manage internal communications regarding candidate preboarding status and organize candidate information in internal databases.
Provide administrative to support to POET’s Never Satisfied Intern Program.
Attend Career Fair events, as needed.
Understand Talent Acquisition team processes to serve as a backup as needed.
Understand big-picture items and team vision to drive decision-making
May assist in preparing reports on Talent Acquisition metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and source of hire).
Provide preboarding process training to new administrative team members.
Update process documentation for changes as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in human resource management, organizational psychology, or a relevant field.
2+ years experience as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, HR Assistant (https://resources.workable.com/hr-assistant-job-description) , or similar role.
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
Experience using professional social networks (LinkedIn, in particular).
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills and the ability to embrace change.
Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
Effective communication, both in writing and in person.
An understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and the capability to learn new programs.
