PAY : $39.66
Headquartered in both Kansas City and Topeka, Evergy employs about 4,900 people who are dedicated to empowering a better future. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Technician Meter I in Wichita, Kansas.
Technicians I and II, Meter “shall possess a two-year college degree in electronics or equivalent and have the ability and aptitudes for training through a two-year program to become a Technician III, Meter. They shall be qualified through knowledge and experience to assist a Technician III or Senior Technician.”
Qualifications
This is a highly technical position dealing with all types of meter and communications systems. The successful candidate must possess the following skills:
Computer-ability to use new software as required utilizing the documentation provided.
Demonstrated electrical/electronic schematic reading, with component level electronics troubleshooting capability.
Have a working understanding of TCP/IP, Serial, and DNP
Knowledge of complex metering
Advanced math skills
Personal characteristics suitable for making contact with customers and the public which are necessary in their line of duty
Travel across Evergy’s service territory and some overnight travel
