Actalent Test Engineer in Wichita, Kansas
Job Title: Test TechJob Description
You will test data, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot, validate, and more. You will work on the floor with research and testing labs. This hands-on role involves working in a shop environment that may be dirty or dusty, as the product line includes Skid Steer Loaders. You must work independently and collaboratively, not just doing desk-based tasks. A knowledge in Heavy Equipment, Agriculture/Manufacturing, or Aviation (with adaptability to a different environment) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, set up, and disassemble test machines and equipment before and during validation.
Collect and analyze test data.
Formalize results in a technical report with fact-based conclusions and recommendations.
Conduct stress/strain, hydraulic pressure/flow, and vibration testing.
Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components on CE machinery or test systems.
Utilize business enterprise software systems (e.g., TCE, nCode, Teamcenter) to document and convey required information regarding testing and vehicle performance.
Assist test engineers with routine engineering tests in the field, including the use of test equipment devices.
Data acquisition experience preferred.
Diagnose mechanical failures and conduct repairs or part installations on prototype and current production construction equipment by referencing engineering prints and models, and engineering specifications.
Perform additional related duties as required.

This is a fully on-site position in WICHITA, KS.
Work Environment
Prototype Test Lab onsite. The department is specialized and not part of the production floor, focusing on testing new or malfunctioning product lines. Dress is business casual, with typical 1st shift hours: 7am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs, 7am to 11:30am Fridays.
