Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant
Job Description
As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will be responsible for material handling and inventory checks on parts in the machine shop. You will ensure all 40 machines have their necessary end mill parts for drilling and keep them fully stocked. You will track inventory using a basic spreadsheet in Excel and place orders to maintain stock levels. Effective communication over the phone to order parts and avoid delays is crucial. This role offers an hourly pay of $16.00 and operates on the 1st shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays from 6 am to Noon.
Responsibilities
Handle material and manage inventory checks for machine shop parts.
Ensure all 40 machines have the necessary end mill parts for drilling.
Maintain stock levels and order parts to avoid delays.
Track inventory using a basic Excel spreadsheet.
Communicate effectively over the phone to place orders and negotiate deals.
Perform local deliveries of parts in a truck (no CDL or box trucks required).

Work Environment
The work environment includes a climate-controlled machine shop to ensure the required tolerances for parts production. You will work in the tool crib area and ensure all areas are fully supplied with parts for machining.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
