JOB SUMMARY
POET Is seeking a highly motivated, self-drivenTrading Support Managerwith a passion for leading people! The Trading Support Manager is responsible for supporting POET’s accounting functions, including; accounting team member development and guiding the team in daily position and profit & loss reporting, analysis, forecasting, process development, and internal control compliance. Other responsibilities include the reporting process that provides value added information and analysis for internal customers and executive management, driving continuous improvement for operations. Collaboration with business operations and strong leadership and development of accounting staff are key components of this role.
This role is located inWichita, KSand is not open to remote locations.
DURING A TYPICAL DAY
Effectively execute departmental strategies and company objectives through leadership, coaching, managing performance and career development and training of accounting team members
Partnering with and providing information, including insight and suggestions for improvement, to business operations and finance leadership team members, supporting day to day needs and key business initiatives
Clearly communicating financial results and relevant drivers to business and finance leadership team members, focused on business performance with actionable takeaways – “telling the story behind the numbers”
Setting clear expectations with team members and fostering a trusting culture of teamwork and individual accountability
Collaborating with IT to drive solutions for reporting and system improvements focused on business priorities and process efficiency
Accounting policy and procedure development, focused on efficient processes that drive accuracy and result in valuable information for the business

QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Bachelor’s degree in the area of accounting, finance, or a related field.
5+ years working in an accounting or finance role
2+ years of leadership experience, mentoring, coaching and developing teams
