Job Title: Trailer Mechanic

Job Description

As a Trailer Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include performing preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel tanker trucks and trailers, as well as conducting DOT inspections. You will work within our Operations department, ensuring compliance with all DOT, federal, state, local, and company standards regarding safety and maintenance procedures. This role requires a skilled technician who can work effectively without supervision, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Hard Skills

  • Tanker trailer experience

  • Experience with DOT 406, 407, 412 Tanker/cargo tanker

  • ASE Brake certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 180 days of employment)

  • Cargo tank inspection certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Basic mechanic’s skills

Soft Skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

  • Detail-oriented work habits

  • Professional demeanor

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Dependability

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Work Environment

The position is based in a normal shop environment with concrete floors, requiring you to stand for extended periods and handle equipment weighing up to 100lbs. The shop consists of a 2-bay small shop area where you may occasionally work on uneven and/or slippery surfaces.
