Job Summary

Primarily responsible for recruiting prospective students from a set territory. In addition, may serve as the lead recruiter for certain high schools and/or community colleges.

Essential Functions

Recruits students in designated schools and geographic regions, which includes follow-up with recruits by phone, mail and other personal communications streams to meet weekly and monthly recruiting goals. Develops and implements recruitment programming for students, parents, and counselors. Works with campus departments to coordinate recruitment programs. Represents the University at specified schools, college and community fairs, public presentations, and/or seminars outside or the normal recruitment territory. Contributes to overall recruitment efforts for the University, particularly in areas outside or direct responsibility. Facilitates office coverage and participates in on and off campus recruitment programs, including group presentations; greets walk-in and scheduled visitors; maintains knowledge of all facets of the University. Markets scholarships and participates in selections process when appropriate. Manages budgets related to program and visit expenditures. Reconciles monthly statements and billings from assigned programs and/or visits.

Job Duties

Transfer Admissions Representative works with transfer and returning adult students by attending fairs and traveling to various schools, answering questions about the enrollment process, and the university.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in education, business or related field
  • One (1) year of experience in recruiting, admissions or related field

Required License/Certifications/Training:

Valid Kansas drivers license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player attitude with the ability to create professional and lasting relationships.
  • Innovative and motivated to handle the travel, outreach and diverse populations interacting with.

Physical Requirements:

Ab lity to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to move, transport, and/or deliver items, supplies, or equipment. Ability to move or traverse across campus, within buildings and offices, and/or across external environments. Ability to drive state vehicle.
