ASM Global Wait Staff - Century II in Wichita, Kansas
ASM Global has an immediate opening for Wait Staff at Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center.
Summary:
Serve menu items according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO), clear tables after service and assists in breaking down events. Wait staff are the face of the Food & Beverage department and should have great customer service skills and a positive attitude. Position will also to be eligible to work additional shifts in concessions and bartending.
Responsibilities:
Read Banquet Event Order (BEO) and know how to complete setup.
Set tables in assigned area correctly and uniformly.
Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
Run plated food to distribution areas.
Carry large trays with up to eight (8) plated meals from back service halls to tray jacks in the room.
Assist Banquet Servers in setting up/breaking down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment
Regular attendance is an essential job function.
Position requires the ability to work at all ASM Global facilities in Wichita.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities :
Reports to Executive Chef in appropriate uniform, for assigned location.
Positive, customer service-oriented attitude at all times.
Knowledge of sanitary practices.
Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment.
Ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
Follow all rules and regulations which apply to SAVOR.
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
Attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of food and beverage service
Six to twelve months prior server and/or bartending experience.
Point of sale computer operation systems.
Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
Positive attitude and neat appearance.
Must speak and understand English.
Attend all Food & Beverage Training class as well as venue training as directed.
Ability to pass background/credit check.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
Positive attitude and helpful manner are required.
Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to work with co-workers, volunteers, and all levels of staff.
Other Qualifications :
Requires ability to work flexible hours- may include days, nights, weekends and holidays. Eligible to work in United States.
Physical Demands :
This position requires bending, stooping and lifting up to 40 lbs. Substantial standing and walking.
