Other duties include filing, telephone work, operation of the State of Kansas automated computer system, food check issuance, and other assigned responsibilities. This position requires a thorough knowledge of WIC program policies. Provides Education.Explains WIC program services to clients.Provides breastfeeding promotion.Provides appropriate community referrals.Provides guidance and documentation of client's secondary nutrition education contacts.Able to accurately read immunization records and make appropriate referral to those clients not currant on their vaccinations.Provides education on lead testing.Provides education on gathering of anthropometrics, and blood work.Promotion of baby behavior techniques.Manage Record Keeping.Documents in the KWIC software client findings, HIPAA, Web IZ participation, voter registration.Verifies client income and proofs for determining client eligibility.Issuance of client's food benefits.Breast pump issuance and return.Appropriate electronic signatures are captured for client's food benefits and client rights and responsibility.Meets program productivity standards.Manages client's next appointment letter/proofs/diet questionnaires.Manages no show processes.Manages own e-timesheet and WIC daily hours appropriately and on time.Collects and reports anthropometrics and blood work findings accurately.Reports success stories.Provides WIC call center services.Professionally schedules client appointments and answers client's questions.Has job knowledge of call center procedures/policies.Use WIC phone standards. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Two years' experience in varied clerical and office setting work or various experience in a public setting providing customer service would be considered. Including such skills as, but not limited to, computer experience, data entry, customer service, phone experience, office equipment use, decision making skills. Preferred Qualifications: CNA, CMA, MA, HHA, certificate or experience preferred.
