Newell Brands Planner, Supply Chain in Winfield, Kansas

Position Title: Planner, Supply Chain

Reports to: Manager, PIC

Location: Winfield, KS

General Responsibility:

The Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for the initiation and updating of the plant production schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, plan, and prioritize long-term and short-term production capabilities to meet business objectives including, but not limited to, customer service levels, absorption, and inventory levels,

  • Balance production load to best utilize machine capacity. Communicate potential constraints.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure the proper inventory turn rate is maintained.

  • Monitor and expedite responses to immediate customer service needs as communicated by Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Demand Planning, Etc.

  • Ensure that individual Bill of Materials is accurate and transfer that information to the system resource plan.

  • Work within a team environment to ensure that schedule attainment and customer satisfaction levels are maintained.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Supply Chain or equivalent and/or 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain planning.

  • Excellent planning and priority setting skills.

  • Self-motivated with a proven track record as a results-driven individual.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.

  • Superior communication skills both verbal & written.

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access skills.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work overtime as well as some irregular hours. This position will work in a clean, climate-controlled office environment the majority of the time, however, may be exposed to noise and seasonal weather variations particularly on the receiving floor and production areas. Physical exertion such as pushing, pulling, kneeling or light lifting may be necessary at times.
